About NCAMV:

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit NC organization that is dedicated to improving diversity and inclusion of the veterinary profession. We raise funds to go towards scholarship opportunities for underrepresented minority students at the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine and at the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. We also serve as a resource for NC pet owners in need of veterinary services by using our network to help them locate a NCAMV member veterinarian near them.

In addition to providing scholarship opportunities and promoting diversity and inclusion, we also serve as a platform to promote the collegiality of underrepresented minority veterinarians within the state of N.C., which contributes to the inclusive nature of our association. Our association meets bi-annually to fellowship and hear a CE talk from leaders within the veterinary community. We typically have speakers present on diversity/inclusion, leadership, success, wellbeing, and the importance of financial literacy within the veterinary profession.
