Join us at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine for a day of education and fun!

This full day of equine-oriented activities is designed to give kids and teens, ages 8-16, a hands-on look at the anatomy, physiology, and veterinary care of horses. Participants will be grouped by age and will rotate throughout the school, visiting many different activity stations.

Planned activities include:

A tour of the equine hospital
How to perform a physical exam on your horse
A look at equine anatomy in the vet school anatomy lab
Preventative medicine
Basic lameness
Plus many more!

Registration has been expanded this year! We’ll be accepting 150 participants!
Registration will be limited to the first 150 registrants and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register TODAY!!

The registration fee is $50.00 per person and will cover:

Breakfast and Lunch
A t-shirt with this year’s HYD design
A goody bag
A program with extra information covered in this year’s lectures
A CD with copies of this year’s lectures

When you arrive at the Veterinary School on February 26th, we will have guides and signs to direct you to ckeck-in.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Parents/Chaperones will not be permitted to shadow participants during the day. You are welcome to stay on campus in the library or other seating areas throughout the school OR feel free to leave campus and return between 4:00-4:30pm for pick up. If you’re not familiar with the area, please click HERE to see what there is to do while you’re in town!

Regardless of whether you’ll be on or off campus, PLEASE MAKE SURE to include an emergency phone number when you fill out your registration form!

Check-in at the event will be from 8:00-9:00am.
