Dr. Andrea Gentry is originally from Columbus, Ohio where, like many, her love for veterinary medicine began. Knowing that she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine Dr. Gentry began looking for colleges and universities that had Animal Science/ Pre- Veterinary programs. She later found a home in Aggie Land, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she majored in Animal Science. During her undergraduate career, she joined several student organizations and later applied for the Food Animal Scholars program through North Carolina State. After she completing her undergraduate studies Dr. Gentry attended North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine, focusing on food animal medicine. After veterinary school, she entered a Large Animal Rotating Internship at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. Once completed she came back to her Aggie family and is now an Assistant Professor of Animal Science at North Carolina A&T State University.
